October 1, 2007 - Goodland is proud to be the home for new Kansas District Division 12 Lt. Governor Brad L. Schields.  His position will be held for 2 years.

January 1, 2008 - Our Kiwanis Club kicked off our U.S. Flag Project.  For $30 per year the club will place a flag in your yard sunrise to sunset 5 times a year (Memorial Day, Flag Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day).

All funds that are raised throughout the year provides financial support for many of our community needs.
